Jaguar REQUIRES an "Aluminum Safe formulation", and my local Jag mechanic recommends a chemical/pressure flush every 2 years. Any high quality, name brand that is marked as "Safe for aluminum" is sufficient. A chemical reaction can occur inside the coolant system with low quality antifreeze/coolant which can cause corrosion and pitting of aluminum components. The "purple" antifreeze is aluminum safe and non-toxic to prevent injury to you family pets should a leak develope.
A 1998 Dodge Neon uses green antifreeze.
It uses phosphate free antifreeze to which is an anti corrosive.
Any antifreeze which is Dexcool approved.
It uses green antifreeze. It uses green antifreeze.
It will use normal antifreeze and it should be mixed 50/50 with water. It does not matter.
Ford Dealers carry the Orange colored Antifreeze for Jags
Any brand of antifreeze can be used in a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. It is recommended that a person uses 50 50 antifreeze.
For a 1998 Jaguar XJ8, the recommended antifreeze is a mixture of ethylene glycol-based coolant with a 50/50 ratio of coolant to distilled water. It's essential to use a coolant that meets the Jaguar specification, such as the Jaguar-approved coolant or a premium quality coolant that is compatible with aluminum engines. Always check the owner's manual for specific recommendations and avoid using conventional green antifreeze to prevent potential damage to the cooling system.
Phosphate free antifreeze
For a 2005 Jaguar XK8, it's recommended to use an ethylene glycol-based antifreeze that meets the Jaguar specification, typically Jaguar's own coolant or an equivalent that is phosphate-free and meets the ASTM D3306 standard. Always ensure the antifreeze is mixed with distilled water in the appropriate ratio, usually 50:50, for optimal performance. It's best to consult the owner's manual or a Jaguar dealer for specific product recommendations.
