The AK-47 and AKM use the 7.62x39 cartridge.
7.62x39
About 123 grains.
Although there are many variations, most AK47 shoot a ~30 caliber bullet (7.62mm).
The standard AK47 fires a 123 grain bullet at 2,400 feet per second. This produces 1,600 ft lbs of energy.
It uses a 7.62x39mm cartridge. See link below-
The ak74 is deffinetaly the better choice better rate of fire and better accuracy. However 1 bullet of the ak47 does more damage than 1 bullet of the ak74. So ak47 is mainly for hitpoints and ak 74 is better for fire rate and accuracy.
The bullet used in the 7.62 x 38 CARTRIDGE can be of different weights. The standard bullet loaded for the SKS and AK47 is about 123 grains.
it is 300-400 yards. AK74 is 500 yards
the bar because it shoots a 30.6 and an ak47 shoots a 7.62x39 the bar has a bigger bullet the ak47 probbably has better penetration though because it often uses steel core full metal jacket ammo
It will be marked on the barrel
From what i no about ak47's, no. You can get an ak that will shot a .223 round though. <><><><><><><> The AK47 is caliber 7.62x39. The .308 is a much longer (about a half inch longer), more powerful cartridge, with a heavier bullet, and is too long to cycle through the AK action.
