They are a drug, uppers & downers is what some people call them.
thats what i want to know
Not necessarily. "Downers" is vernacular -- slang -- and as such isn't very specific. I've heard sedatives, hynotics, narcotics and antihitimines all called downers (and pot too, which is pharmacoloigcally a stimulant) or upper. Even the term "sedative" doesn't really explain how the drug functions; only the visibile, apparent effects. So, Downers are any drug that manys you feel relaxed, tired, fatigued, slowed-down, etc. regardless of mechanism. They can be any kind of drug, including non-depressants that just appear to be a depressent. A sedative must, by definition, sedate someone, but is stil a general term.
No, downers are not hallucinogens. Downers are referred to as "Barbituates."
THC (Weed), Cocaine, Meth, PCP, Opiouts(Herion, or any downers)
It is slang for barbiturates. Barbiturates are "downers"...they're tranquilizers and they are used for anaesthesia or as sleeping pills.
