What kind of education is needed to play in the NFL?
Answer: you need a high school education, and maybe a degree in football
There is no "educational requirement" to play in the NFL. However, three years must have passed since your high school class graduation before you may enter the NFL Draft or sign with an NFL team. You are not required to have played any kind of organized football during that time, collegiate or otherwise.
No certain type is required. The NFL does not draft from high school like MLB or NBA does. For a player to be eligible they must have been out of high school for 3 years. Most if not all have played college football. The main requirement is your ability to play the sport and compete at the highest level of competition.
You can enter the NFL Draft with three years of college education. Many football players will redshirt as a freshman which is the NCAA legal way of giving a student five eligible years of football at college. You may see people enter the draft as a sophomore, however the redshirted so it is actually their 3rd year in college.
You have to be strong mentally and physically to do well and to survive in the NFL. But personality wise, there isn't a specific type needed.
