it can be used to surf the internet,use facebook,twitter and go to youtube without a computer but if you do not have internet with you you can either connect to a wifi that does'nt has asign of a lock on the left side of the name of the network.The best thing where some adults might like is the airplane mode,it help iphone users to save but your sim number will be like an iPod touch for it cannot be used to call and massage anyone untilit is disactivated and all the miss calls and messages will be showed the good things is that when anyone that you think is disturbing your rest or annoying you can just activate the airplane mode
