I have a '92 and it is Freon 12.
There are a couple of ways to tell.
1. There is a sticker under the hood that will tell the type of freon and the amount.
2. The best way is to look at the freon input connection. Freon 12 is a 1/4" flare fitting and freon 134A is much larger.
A freon 12 system can be converted to 134a with a kit that is very available. They make these kits because freon 12 is unavailable and is now illegal to sell.
R134a
10 w 40
Use R134a
Was built for R12, should be converted to R134a

R-12 if its not been retrofitted yet. R-134a if it has.
Freon but you can convert over to the new stuff
On the exhaust pipe between the exhaust manifold and the catilitic converter. Looks kind of like a spark plug screwed into the pipe.
most likely it is freon. your best bet is to convert it over to 134 a
