For a number of reasons: they are not tiny, it is easier to see what organs they have (many are like humans have), they are not expensive. Pictures can sometimes be difficult as they are not very accurate.

You may not like the idea of using worms or frogs for science labs but they can be a way that you can see if you like science.

People are getting away from using cadavers in medical schools and going with graphic tables. But these are very expensive.

Frogs are relatively cheap, large enough to see the organs without magnification and are a traditional animal used for dissection. Dissecting frogs is a very useful way for Biology students to observe and understand the physical and physiologic interconnection between the various organs and tissues.

Because we have similer anatomies. Butit's just stupid. They could show kids today videos of a dissection, ordo a virtual dissection. There arejust too many kids these days to supply all these poor animals to. Too many people, too little frogs.

Frogs are easy to obtain, easy to dissect, and are more similar to humans, than say worms, another choice. I still think its sad, though.

They are cheap and readily available, and their organs are relatively easy to observe (in comparison to, for example, those of a cockroach).
