They are most definitely NOT standard Fedoras. They tend to be larger and have a wide rim.
The Blues Brothers' hat is a classic black Trilby with a 2" rim. They are sometimes descibed as a Fedora Trilby.
The most common reference is "Trilby with Stingy Rim" but if you want to buy one, beware. You get what you pay for.
There are a lot of cheap hats out there but they won't last 5 minutes. First drop of rain and that's your lot.
Find a proper gentleman's outfitter and expect to pay for quality. A quality hat will last for years.
