Turritopsis dohrnii, is a hydrozoan commonly called "immortal jellyfish." These jellyfish have the ability to revert back to the polyp stage if they are under environmental stress. Their cells do this by changing what type of cells they are, called transdifferentiation.
Because of its ability under certain circumstances to transform from medusa back to the polyp stage, thereby escaping the death that typically awaits medusae post-reproduction if they have not otherwise been eaten by some other ocean organism.

Jellyfish
Some varietys of turtles live for hundreds of yearsedit:Turritopsis nutricula, is a species of jellyfish that is theoretically immortal. The jellyfish can, in effect, revert back to a polyp state (ie. the equivalent of a human adult becoming a child once more). The jellyfish essentially reabsorbs parts of itself before spawning a bunch of new polyps similar to how bacteria replicate. It is possible that there is a jellyfish out there that is the ancestor of the whole species.
The correct term is how long do jellyfish live? The answer is one year or less,But unless it one of those big jellyfish they can live up to 5-10 years.
Hades is a God, he is immortal. He does not die.
The lifespan of a jellyfish varies depending on the species, but most jellyfish live for only a few months to a year. Some species, such as the Turritopsis dohrnii jellyfish, are capable of reverting back to their polyp stage and essentially have the potential to be immortal.
