The bike that Michael Douglas (Nick Conklin) rode in the movie was a Evo-Sportster model (1100 or 1200 cc's) that was made to look like a 1978 Harley Cafe-Racer(Sportster) model.
I saw these bikes in 1988 or 89 at Harley Davidson of NYC.
I'd guess that that dealership made them.
They had 2 of them sitting on the showroom floor before the movie came out.
