Guinea pigs generally fight one another for dominance, space, and for a female.

It really depends on what combination of genders you have. Two guinea pigs of the same gender are much more likely to fight than two guinea pigs of different genders.

You can tell if a guinea pig is mad if he/she is biting and scratching and he/she normally doesn't do it. If it's having like sleeping, puking, or any other abnormal behavior, call a vet.
