Pine trees are a wood and resin resource, from which we primarily get timber and pulp. There are around 115 species of pine tree around the world. They are fast-growing, soft-wood, evergreens. Commercial pines are denser than spruce and are used for furniture, floors, window frames and roofing. The resin is also a source of turpentine.
