A rock's composition and geographic location give clues to the age and identity of the fossils it contains. A fossil, by definition, is at least 10,000 years old. Some may be millions or even billions of years old, since the earth itself has been around for nearly five billion years.
Coquina rocks
Tiny coquina shells found along the coasts of California and Florida form into beds of fossil rock also known as bridles. Examples of coquina limestone known as ophiuroid are on display at the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University and the Florida State Museum. The Peabody also has abundant examples of Miocene brittlestar coquina fossil from the Santa Margarita Formation in California. Miocene fossils are between 5 and 25 million years old.
Before you know which rocks contain fossils it is necessary to know what a fossil is. Fossil is a remain of ancient organism body or their activities preserved in sediments or rocks. Fossil may include whole body of organism, Its hard or soft part or the remains of their tracks and trails. It is not necessary for a fossil to be only the whole body or hard part of the Organism body. Fossils preserve by several processes combinely known as Fossilization. This fossilization requires certain geologic conditions for example Quick burial, an aerobic conditions, supply of enough sediments.
The answer is clear from the above paragraph that fossils are preserved in sediments under certain conditions. Fossilization occurs along with sedimentation. But the fossils of every type can survive upto certain PT condition. when the temperature will cross that limit than the fossils will destroy; no more fossil will remain within the rock. Therefore Igneous and Metamorphic rock are lacking fossils because of high PT condition. The only rocks having fossils preserve in them are the Sedimentary Rocks and some low grade very metamorphic rocks. Sedimentary rocks contains abundant of fossils especially limestone shale containing all types of Fossils.
Sedimentary Rock
Mainly Sedimentary
fossils
yes
Igneous rock is composed of lava or magma that has cooled and solidified. Fossils are only found within the various strata of sedimentary rock.
sedimentry
Igneous rocks.
Igneous rocks and most metamorphic rocks, of an igneous origin.

They Often Contain fossils.
sedimentry
Igneous rocks.
these rocks are called fossils
Sedimentary rocks. and metamorphic rocks made form sedimentary rocks.
Paleozoic rocks contain fossils while Precambarian rocks had no fossils since at that time there was only single celled organisms.
