Graphite is pure carbon. A diamond is also pure carbon in a very specific crystal. Yet diamonds do not conduct electricity and graphite does. Graphite can form in plate like arrays of hexagonal crystals and in an amorphous, powdery form.

graphite that u write with is the same thing as a graphite rock, graphite is just graphite, at first its a rock and its just made to be pencil led

well, pencils have lead in them which is made from graphite, so pencil lead is made from graphite!

Pencil "lead"is made of graphite. Many industrial dry lubricants are also made of graphite. Graphite is also used to lubricate locks.
