marine band by hohner
Hohner Marine Band
I believe that it was the Key of D.
Yes, very often. In Like a Rolling Stone and many more of his songs he used a C harmonica.
Since the song is in F, (capo 5th fret C) the harmonica is also F.

If it has the chords G, C, and D7... then it is almost always in the key of G. That is the key he uses
Like John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Little Walter Tom Petty uses Marine Band harmonicas from Hohner
He plays every key but songs like Blowin' In The Wind, The Times They Are A-Changin, With God On Our Side, Mr. Tambourine Man etc. would use easy keys.
I don't know what Bob used - but I can tell you that if you are looking to start playing harp then you should definitely check out Lee Oskars... beautiful tone and they are smooth to play on. I have to imagine though that back then he was playing on some type of Hohner.
People can make use of harmonica microphone when singing by holding the microphone if it is a hand held harmonica microphone or using a stand to bring the harmonica microphone to your height making it easy to use whilst singing.
Bob Dylan wrote the song. Hendrix rearranged it for his own use. Same words, same base chords, whole different arrangement.
