Years ago I worked for Pepsi/7-up. It's a secret recipe and it's in the vats of syrup they use. No one but the company heads know what is in that recipe. Coke use to be the leading soft drink manufacturer for years until Pepsi came along and the battle has been raging on to the present time. Pepsi also put out Mountain Dew which wasn't the biggest seller and I do believe they dropped it. Actress Joan Crawford's husband owned Pepsi and when he died she took over for awhile, but that was back in the late 1960s.
Yes most definately
AnswerTo some people they can taste a difference.Yes. Coke has a tart taste to it, Pepsi has a stronger sweetness.
They have different formulas and ingredients in different ratios. Like like Coke is more carbonated and Pepsi is a little sweeter.
probably the caffeine
I'm adding on: People probably like the taste of soda because of the caffeine, sugar, and carbon dioxide, which is the fizzing taste.
I don't think they are different but maybe Coke has more sugar
Alchohol
Coca-Cola has less sugar, caffeine, calories, carbs, and other fattening ingredients than Pepsi.
Yes, it is true that pepsi cola is a substitute for coca cola according to Michael porter. Answer given By VIVEK TRIPATHI.
The name Coke is a nickname for Coca Cola. A long, long time ago, Coca Cola contained Cocaine in its ingredients, seriously! Cocaine wasn't always outlawed in the US, you know. In fact, over the counter medications would carry some (small) level of Cocaine in their ingredients and doctors would prescribe higher doses of pure Cocaine for such illnesses as fatigue. Then Cocaine was outlawed, and Coca Cola took it from its ingredients. The history should give you a hint at the names: Coca Cola and Coke for the popular soda.
Pepsi Cola is a product of The PepsiCo company.
Coca cola originated in 1885, Pepsi Cola was first produced in the 1890's
Because Coca Cola (Coke) and Pepsi Cola, two different companies, use different ingredients to create their soft drinks. Coke and Pepsi are not both coke, but they are both colas because they both include kola nut flavoring in their ingredients. Pepsi tends to taste sweeter that Coke when compared side by side.
