Firstly the best Cornish pasty must always be made in Cornwall that why it is called a Cornish pasty. Secondly it must be made with Cornish ingredients which includes skirt beef (skirt is a type of steak). Thirdly the ingredients must be put in the pastry in the right order: sliced potatoes, chopped swede/turnip, cut beef and chopped onions last. Lastly it must be crimped well so none of its insides fall out. Also if you want it to be a proper Cornish pasty it must be made by a Cornish man!
