In an older CRT television sets steel, copper, lead, tin, aluminum and gold would be likely metals. Steel would be used for certain electronic parts, screws and brackets. Lead and tin are used for the solder that is used to connect the electronic parts to the PC (printed circuit) board. Solder is also used to put a thin coat on the surface of the traces (flat wires) on the PC board. Copper is used for certain electronic parts, PC board traces and wires. Aluminum is used for brackets and heat sinks. Gold is used in very small amounts inside of ICs (integrated circuits) to attach the silicon integrated circuit to the leads that are used to attach the IC to the PC board.
