== == This was Jesus' teaching message to his followers and can be found in Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6:20-49. It consists of The Beatitudes, the Lord's Prayer, and various other teachings concerning Christian living and attitudes.
this is a Biblical question so we have to go to The Bible for the answer. When Jesus was about half a year to his 30th birthday, he called upon his apostoles one by one until having the number of 12. They were his disciples. Most of them were fishermen, one was an incometax collector and the another who was very attached to monetary posetions. They had a 3 and a half year journey preaching the gospel, performing miracles and attending the sick. At about the beguining of that journey spreading the gospel was when the sermon of the mount took place. Registered in the gospel of Mathews chapter 5 is the history of the most complete sermon given on Christianity before Christians were named after Jesus the Teacher. You will notice that in the chapter 9 verse 9 is when he calls mathew to follow him. You can understand the sermon of the mount was at the beguining of the 3 years he spread the gospel until crucified at the age of 33.
The Sermon on the mount was the best and most important preaching of Jesus. There, he spoke the Beatitudes. These explain the different types of people who are blessed in the Kingdom of Heaven, especially to those who believed that they had no hope; the poor, those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness and sinners who want to repent. He also gave the Lords prayer and the Golden Rule- TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WISH TO BE TREATED.
During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus laid out the Beatitude, which lay out types of good deeds that God looks at with favor. They are like a positive version of the Ten Commandments.
Some examples: Feed the hungry. Give drink to the thirsty. Clothe the naked. Bury the dead. Visit the sick and imprisoned. Heal the sick.
The Sermon opens with the beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12) and moves on to describe the function of Jesus' disciples (5:13-16). Jesus explained His interpretation of the law (5:17-48) and certain acts of righteousness (6:1-18), described the attitudes required of His disciples (6:19-7:12), and invited the listeners to become and continue as His disciples (7:13-27).
The Sermon on the Mount was important because Jesus laid out his purpose for coming to the earth. He also taught very important lessons as to how people should treat one another.
It provides timeless lessons in humility, and consideration for our fellow human beings (among other things).
One important message from the sermon on the mount is the teaching on humility and compassion towards others, as exemplified in the Beatitudes. Jesus emphasizes the value of meekness, mercy, and peacemaking, encouraging his followers to live in a way that reflects these virtues in their interactions with others.
