There are some metals which do not react with water. Metals like Silver,Gold,Platinum, copper,Mercury and non metals like Hydrogen do not react with water.
I'm not sure how to put it but... A word that ...goes with that is Hydrophobic. If that helps.
aluminium does not react with cold water but reacts with warm water, lead, copper do not react completely with water
gold doesnt react with water

Hydrophilic : Having an affinity for water; readily absorbing or dissolving in water. Water-loving.Common examples of hydrophilic compounds include salt and sugar.Oil, however, will not dissolve in water, because it is hydrophobic, or water-hating.It means water loving type. Hydrphilic means having affinity for water. This would he something that dissolves in or mixes well with water.
Tiny particles of matter that have a special chemical affinity for water molecules
A hydrophilic region is an area that has an affinity for water. Alanine, a side-chain of an amino acid is located on a hydrophilic region of a protein.
the definition for hydrophobic is having little or no affinity for water. the definition for hydrophilic is having a strong affinity for water. All those compounds which have polar chemical structure possess affinity to water or can dissolve in water like alcohol, and those with non-polar structure are hydrophobic and cant dissolve in water like fat, oils etc.
lipids
Hydrophobic means to have an affinity for water.
Hydrophilic means loving water, or having a close affinity to it.
The Turkish Van breed of cat is known to have an affinity for water.
Hygroscopic.
It means to have an affinity for or an attraction to water.
Hydrophyllic.
having a strong affinity for water
I think, it acts as a dehydrating agent because it has a great affinity for water...and in my opinion the reason behind it's great affinity is that water decomposes the acid...
'Hydrophile' means having an affinity for water or readily dissolving in water.
Zoey: Affinities for all of the elements (fire, water, earth, air and spirit) Stevie Rae: Affinity for Earth Erin: Affinity for Water Shaunee: Affinity for Fire Damien: Affinity for Air Stark: Gift of Arrows (something to do with always hitting his target) Aphrodite: Psychic (can see the future) Hope this helps... :)
