Actually made in the early 20th century. Model 19's are being traded in the $150-$200 range for a standard field grade gun. Marlin did offer these in different grades (G is not the grade, it's a version) and the higher grades are bringing more money to Marlin collectors. As a side note, the Marlin 19 is not suitable for firing with any form of modern ammunition.

The Marlin Model 1894 was manufactured from 1894 to 1934. 44-40 WCF was the largest caliber available. A 44 S&W magnum is only slightly larger, so it MIGHT chamber, but even if it will, DON'T use it. The modern Marlin 1894 Octagon was manufactured in 1973, and was produced for that year only. It is chambered for the modern .44 S&W magnum cartridge, and was a precurser to the "Cowboy" series. The information contained in the paragraph above relates to the original 1894 rifle series which was, as noted, discontnued in 1934.
Identifies the barrel as suitable for modern loads.
8 anals wide
Deer slugs are the shotgun shells to use when deer hunting.
Hang it on a wall. Not worth more that 100 USD and not safe to fire with modern loads.
No. Very dangerous.
KD stands for damascus barrel I do not know what the Y stands for. You should not fire the gun with a damascus barrel because it is weaker and might explode with modern shells
NO!!! modern powder is slow burning as compared to black powder and produces to much pressure for that type of steel process (Damascus is folded in the manufacturing process therefore laminated) and will cause the barrel to come apart which is like having a bomb in your hands
No
