It is part of the soundtrack to an impossible to find TV movie (aired in 1973) called "Sunshine". The soundtrack has John Denvers beautiful romantic songs including title track Sunshine.
The movie is based on a true story, written by Carol Sobieski, from the journals of Jacquelyn M. Helton. Kate is a woman that is young, naïve and full of life! She loves the outdoors, the mountains and doing things her way. She finds out she has terminal cancer and decides to leave a tape recorded diary for her young daughter Jill. She hopes that hearing her mother's thoughts and voice will her to in a way to be "with" Jill while growing up. She is tries to fill her life, those around her with sunshine and joy, while she still can. WARNING! this movie is a heartbreaker! It is made more so knowing it is true.
*A sequel was also made in 1977 called 1977 "Sunshine Christmas" but was not nearly as good.
