A observation
It's an inference because your drawing a conclusion (that the cat must be ill)so it is inferrence
I think it is a inference because you are observing the cat.
state why an observation cannot be an inference
Observation: The ground is wet. Inference: It must have rained recently. Observation: A dog is barking loudly and wagging its tail. Inference: The dog is excited or happy to see someone. Observation: A student is yawning and has droopy eyes in class. Inference: The student is likely tired or did not get enough sleep. Observation: Smoke is coming from a building. Inference: There may be a fire in that building. Observation: A person is wearing a heavy coat and scarf. Inference: The weather is likely cold outside.
inference
Observation is stating a given fact that has nothing to do with your opinion. In contrast to that an inference is when you make an assumptions based on your INTERPRETATION of a fact.

i only have 1 lol but the exapmle of the 1 i have is (observation)- i see black smoke (inference)-there must be a fire xD by Brichelle
A fact is something that can be proven by observation from cause to effect. An inference is something that is inferred, or implied, by the existence of two conditions. For example: my dog is asleep; my dog farted; I inver that my dog must only fart when he is asleep.
I think An observation about that inference is about that object.
It is an observation because you can see that the cat is ill so it is visual.
observation is observation! :)inference is inference! :)Assuming you meant "Differentiate observation from inference ?" !....Observation is the act of being able to physically see an object - inference is implying something is real without physical proof of its existence.Incidentally - why was this put into the category 'animal life' !
