Greek Athletes.
The Olympic torch relay always terminates in the central stadium of that year's Olympic Games.
Greece
At the opening ceremonies, the countries march into the stadium in alphabetical order of their country's name in the language spoken by the host country. The exceptions are that the athletes from Greece are always the first into the stadium, out of respect to the home of the Olympics, and the athletes from the host country are always last into the stadium.
I think the swimmers enter first
In alphabetical order of the host country's language so it isn't always the same. The exceptions are Greece which always goes first and the host nation which always goes last. So in 2004 there was an exception to the exception because Greece was the host nation.
Zimbabwe
The athletes from China will be the last to enter during the opening ceremonies. Olympic protocol dictates that the host country's athletes enter last at the opening ceremony.
Greece
Because Greece invented and held the first Olympic Games over a couple of centuries;the modern Olympics started in the 1800s and Greece has been given the honour of leading the nations march. Because the first Olympic Games held in 776 BC were held in Greece. These games are commonly called the 'ancient Olympics'. Because of that Greece is honored by being the first country to enter the stadium during opening and closing ceremonies.
The country which appears first in the Olympic Parade of Nations is always Greece, because Greece started the Olympic Games thousands of years ago. And the last country to parade is the host country.
argos did have some minor advantages in the ancient Olympic games. Their athletes had a ton of muscle, and were stronger than most athletes. Their athletes were trained in the arts and sciences. However, just because they were strong does not mean that they always won the Olympic games. Their biggest rivals were Sparta and Athens. Anyways, because their athletes were strong, they could easily crush their equals, the athletes from Corinth, a seaside city-state. Also, since they were trained in the sciences and arts, they always had a complicated plan of how to win a game. So, those were basically the advantages Argos had. Even though Argos did not have many advantages in the Ancient Olympic Games, their two advantages did go a long way.
The ancient Olympic Games originated from Greece; also the first edition of the modern Olympic Games was held in Athens - 1896.
