Can vagus nerves disorders be solved?

Vagus Nerve disorders can be solved in the sense that they can be treated. Nerve therapy or medical treatment in the form of surgery are the usual courses of treatment.

Are nerves groups of cells that work together?

The nerve cells, or neurons, join together to make neural networks. These networks interact to form the whole of the nervous system.

What do the nerves do in the skeletal system?

Nerves serve an extremely important role in bodily functions. There are pairs of nerves in the nervous system; branching off of the spine, one of the pair extends to the right portion of the body, and the other extends to the left portion of the body. Nerves sense the changes in the outside enviornment, this is called a stimulus. The stimulus then is sent to the sensory nerves where is is carried by internurons to the brain. The brain then processes this information, and it sends it's response through the internurons to the nerves in your muscles. The information is sent from nerve to nerve in the form of a synapse, this is when information is carried from one nerve's dendrite to another's through a chemical 'bridge'. All in all, nerves react to a stimulus by sending information to the brain to be processed. Without the nervous system, muscles, and bones would not be able to move, nor would any organs be able to preform their desired functions.

What is the smallest part of the human brain called?

The smallest unit of the brain is the neuron (nerve cell). It is the cell that forms larger nerves and neural tissue...which is then integrated together to form the modular systems of the brain.

What structure in the body is composed of two or more different tissue types joined together to perform a specific function?

cells !! :)Cells combine to form tissues, which combine to form organs, which combine to form systems, which combine to form the body.

The anterior root and the posterior root fuse to form?

Each spinal nerve attaches to spinal cord by a ventral (anterior) root and a dorsal (posterior) root. All spinal nerves are mixed nerves (both motor and sensory).

What are the two ways main ways in which neurons are able to react stimuli?

Nerves receive signals meaning that they can respond to a stimulus. Once a stimulus is received by a nerve cell it converts it to a neural impulse which passes along the nerve. Nerves are able to transmit impulses along the length of the nerve cell in the form of an electrical signal.

Is the nerve the functional unit of the nervous system?

No. The functional unit of the nervous system is the neuron. Neurons group together to form nerves.

What is a nerves cell function?

It's main purpose is to transport messages from one part of the body to another in the form of nerve impulses.
