to fill the tank i think 35 gallons
3 1/2 quarts.
Toward the back valve cover. A plastic cap about 2.5 inches in diameter that says "Oil Cap". Pour there.
If the oil light comes on but the oil level is ok, the problem may be a faulty sending unit, as it turned out in my case.
The oil pump is not located in the comon location which is above the oil pump. Its located behind the water pump and timing chain cover. Probably the most expensive time consuming place to put it.
Sounds like it may be your head gasket if that is coolant in your oil.
To change the transmission oil on a 1993 Mitsubishi Mighty Max, first, ensure the vehicle is on level ground and the engine is off. Remove the transmission drain plug and let the old oil drain into a pan. Replace the drain plug, then fill the transmission with new oil through the fill plug until it reaches the proper level, checking the fluid level with the dipstick if applicable. Finally, start the engine, let it run for a few minutes, and recheck the fluid level, adding more if necessary.
For a 1989 Mitsubishi Mighty Max, the recommended gear oil for the transmission is typically a manual transmission fluid (MTF) or a 75W-90 gear oil. It's important to check your owner’s manual or consult with a dealership for the exact specifications, as some models may have specific requirements. Ensure that the fluid meets the API GL-4 or GL-5 standards for optimal performance.
