Lungs expand to fill with air. It is done during respiration.
Lungs
To fill with air is to inflate
The uterus expands to as much as 20 times its size before pregnancy.
The lungs are the organ that takes air into the body. The air is taken in through the nose and the mouth.
it expands as we inhale and contrasts as we exhale...this allows our lungs to fill up with air without pushing on out rib cage the rib cage moves up and out when inhaling and moves down and in when exhaling.
Lungs.
The diaphragm expands and contracts automatically, forcing air into and out of the lungs.
Air expands or condenses to fill the shape it is in, so it is as big as the container it is in.
The diaphragm (pronounced - diafram).
if matter expands to fill the volume of its container its a suspension.
if matter expands to fill the volume of its container its a suspension.
It expands to allow the lungs to fill up with air.
Liquid Not liquids,gases.
As the air in the balloon is heated, it expands and becomes less dense, or that is, becomes lighter. This then provides lift to the balloon and the basket. The reason the air in the balloon expands, is because as it is heated, the molecules of air move faster and spread out to fill the entire volume of the balloon.
Air expands when it is heated.

Air has density. Warm air is less dense than cold air - and so it rises above colder air. Air is a gas and so expands to fill the space available to it, so it doesn't have 'length' or other dimension.
