Hate to break this to you but we are all going to die.
Dying of cancer or some other smoking related disease is the real problem. I can tell you from my own experience that dying is not the worst thing that can happen to you from smoking.
I have been very athletic my entire life and I smoked for a long time. But eventually the smoking caught up with me in a way I was totally unprepared for. I got pretty sick on a cruise and had to be hospitalized. My lungs filled with mucous and I couldn't breathe. Now mind you that just two weeks prior to this I was running with no problem. Anyway the sickness damaged my lungs some and if I had never smoked or even quit years before my lungs would have repaired themselves. But now, I'm a little older and my lungs can't make the repairs so I can walk pretty well but I can't run sixty feet. I can't play a little drive way Basketball. I can't run into Walmart when it is raining. I take two different types of medication and have to have oxyen standing by at all times. I don't wish I were dead but it doesn't seem nearly so bad now days. Stop smoking. It will get you one way or the other.
