Different liquids have different freezing points.

For water its 0 degrees celcius but other liquids will have different freezing points because of the element that make it up and the size of its molocules. ;)

What is the temperature that a solid begins to turn into a liquid?

The temperature at which a solid turns into a liquid is known as the melting point. It is the point at which the solid's internal energy overcomes its intermolecular forces holding its particles in place.

What is the melting point of the mixture?

The melting point of a mixture is the temperature at which the solid components of the mixture turn into a liquid.

At what temperature does solid turn to liquid?

Generally speaking, solid turns to a liquid at its melting point. Ice turns to water at 0 degrees Celsius Chocolate melts at 25 degrees Celsius- Yum! Ice (solid) thaws when the temperature rises above 32 degrees Fahrenheit, becoming water (liquid). Other solids (oddly) vary.

Will a liquid turn to gas at its freezing point?

No it would be the boiling point. At freezing point it becomes solid

What solid turns into liquid?

Any liquid can turn into a solid at the correct temperature.

What is a liquid that can turn into a solid called?

A liquid that can turn into a solid is called a "freezing" or "solidification" process. This occurs when a liquid's temperature decreases to its freezing point, causing its particles to slow down and arrange into a more structured, solid form.

What point does a solid turn into?

A solid turns into a liquid at its melting point.

How does liquid mercury become solid mercury?

melting point of mercury is -38.83 celsius, under the temperature, it could turn into solid

What is the point at which a liquid changes to a solid?

There is no "official point" at which liquid will turn into a solid. For example water turns into a solid at 0°C, while Iron melts at 1536°C , therefore solidifying at a temperature slightly lower than that.

What does melting and boiling point mean?

The relative temperature at which a group of solids change into liquids is known as relative melting point. As heat increases, the solid slowly changes its state as it melts. Melting of ice to water is an example for melting point.

At what temperature does solid ethanol turn into liquid ethanol?

Solid ethanol turns into liquid ethanol at its melting point, which is around -114 degrees Celsius.

What is it when you turn liquid into solid?

Turning a liquid into a solid is called freezing. This process involves lowering the temperature of the liquid until it reaches its freezing point, causing the molecules to slow down and arrange into a solid structure.
