Carl Michael Yastrzemski played in left field, first base and designated hitter throughout his
23-year career. He played 1961-1983 for the Boston Red Sox and was an 18-time all-star. Won the Triple Crown in 1967 and 3 Batting Titles. His Red Sox uniform number 8 was retired when he was elected to MLB Hall of Fame on the first ballot in 1989.
