A lobectomy is the name of the surgery to remove the entire lobe of a cancerous lung. This is one of the treatments for non-small cell lung cancer.

These two cavities hold completely different organs of our body they have different purposes. To be better understood and to be able to correctly diagnosed they should not be referred to as one cavity.
