The term "New Deal" was taken from one of FDR's speeches. It was the name given to his domestic program to help end the Great Depression. It's plan to be put into effect was known as "the three R's, relief, recovery, and reform." Laws were passed and agencies created to do such things as end unemployment, give the poor help both economically and mentally, and begin regulation of the things that had brought about the Depression, such as the Stock Market. FDR surrounded himself with "experts" in their fields (the Brain Trust) to help write legislation for Congress to pass. FDR was willing to try anything. If something didn't work, he got Congress to enact another law to see if it would work. Such programs as the WPA, CCC, AAA, and PWA were parts of the New Deal.
The Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA), Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA) were key components of the New Deal, aimed at addressing the economic challenges of the Great Depression. The AAA sought to raise agricultural prices by reducing production through subsidies to farmers. The CCC provided jobs for young men in environmental conservation projects, while the NIRA aimed to stimulate industrial recovery by promoting fair competition, labor rights, and setting industry-wide standards. Together, these programs sought to stabilize the economy and provide relief to struggling Americans.
The Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) was controversial because it aimed to raise crop prices by reducing agricultural production, which meant paying farmers to leave land fallow or destroy crops and livestock. Many in the public viewed this as wasteful, especially during the Great Depression when food scarcity was a pressing issue. Additionally, the AAA disproportionately benefited large landowners over tenant farmers and sharecroppers, leading to increased inequality and resentment among poorer agricultural workers. Critics argued that it interfered with free market principles and placed an undue burden on consumers through higher food prices.
i have no clue some time around the great depression.

The purpose of the AAA (Agricultural Adjustment Act) New Deal program was to address the agricultural crisis during the Great Depression. It aimed to raise crop prices by reducing production, providing subsidies to farmers, and implementing measures to stabilize agricultural markets. The program was intended to improve farmers' incomes and stabilize the agricultural industry as a whole.
A New Deal program designed to raise agricultural prices by paying farmers not to farm. It was based on the assumption that higher prices would increase farmers' purchasing power and thereby help alleviate the Great Depression.

Must of been the so-called "alphabet soup" that helped like the AAA, CCC, WPA, TVA, SSB.
