Polar bears naturally adapt to their cold habitat because of the thick layer of fur they have. However, even they need shelter at times. When this is needed a polar bear will look for ice packs near the sea.
The polar bear's thick fur coat protects the polar bears from the cold. Their claws help protect them in a fight, or to catch food. Plus, touch skin helps the polar bears survive the sharp claws or teeth of another predator in a fight.
Den
IT S THIK SKIN
A female Polar Bears den looks like a little Cave and because a female polar bear has babies she has her babies in it.
Polar bears do not usually live in any sort of shelter. However, a pregnant polar bear female digs a den and enters a state similar to hibernation, which she remains in until the cubs are born and developed enough to travel with her while she hunts for food. When it is very windy, polar bears dig a shallow depression to sleep in so that they can shelter themselves from some of the wind.
The females fight for the land and the males fight to impress the females.
