a playstation 3 is a playstation 3 so no matter if it is this amount of giga bites or that amount of giga bites it is still a playstation 3 and it will play all playstation 1,2, and of course its own regular playstation 3 games. HOPE THAT HELPED!!!! PEACE!!!!!
The above information is very wrong as can be seen at the related link to PlayStation network. Basically only the first generation of the PS3 had full backwards compatibility and the second had some mainly through software updates. Later Players can not play PS2 games
