Okay so, if you have a cut etc... either bacteria, fungi or a virus can enter your body.

The foreign cell (Bacteria, Fungi, Virus) have little marker like things attached to themselves known as antigens.

White blood cells are sent to the wound to find these foreign cells; they then produce numerous different antibodies. An antibody is something which the white blood cell produces to engulf and digest the foreign cell. It takes many times to find the correct antibody, but when a correct antibody is found the antibodies will then attatch, engulf and destroy the foreign cell.

Also there is another type of white blood cell called the 'memory cell' this remembers which antibody can digest the same foreign cell so if you get infected again your body will act quicker to stop the infection.

I seriously hope this is correct. (I learned it not so long ago).

Hope I helped in any way.
