∙ 10y agoThey were exactly restaurants, but there was a cafe called the Cafe Persian, a sort of a la carte "restaurant." Or else they could eat in their class dining salon.
All classes had their own dinning rooms where they would be served food that was part of their fare. In first class however, passengers could buy from restaurants. The main restaurant was simply known as 'the restaurant' which passengers would of had to book. Also uniquely to titanic they was a 'Parisian cafe' which was popular with the younger passengers. Food could also be bought in the 'verandah and palm court' which looked out onto the promenade deck at passing passengers, designed like a garden cafe very popular of the time.
