That GPA is a low C or a D+ so the best you can do is a community college. I would suggest if you have time you get to work to bring that up. Work on your skills and prep for the the admission tests as well as SAT and ACT.

Many schools accept students with a 3.4 GPA. You may be accepted into your state college with a 3.4 GPA. Also, if you boost your resume with volunteer work, you will be competitive for higher ranked schools as well.

A lot of colleges would accept a GPA like that but remember that your GPA is not the only thing affecting your acceptantce. Go to www.collegeboard.com and take the college matchmaker to see some possible matches.
