Jaws is based on a Great White Shark attacking humans really in all the movie plots. But the movie is really not correct in many ways. Not saying its not a good movie but it appears that the shark can actually see the humans underwater but the shark has a special eyelid that goes over its eye before it attacks to protect their eye but then again most of the victims seem in shock and trash around which the shark attacks by using sound and smell. Also the sharks have been seen swallowing people whole which a shark wouldn't really because they don't like how humans taste and really people who survive shark attacks or have been killed by a shark have huge chucks of flesh bitten off because the shark mistakes them as a seal or other aquatic mammal or fish and doesn't eat them whole because of the humans taste. Also in Jaws III a mother great white was a park because of her young which A) how possible is a Great White Shark getting into a sea park and going around a whole lot of exhibits and B) sharks usually don't hang around their young they usually leave the eggs or when the young hatch, if the young don't leave soon they'll eat or kill them. Its a good movie but not biologically correct.
