square or rectangle
it is funny
circular
id say from my experience an oval
a dome or octagon
The best shape for a parachute is a circle. This is because the circle will have a larger area that will cause more drag to slow the parachute.

Hey' I just did an experiment for grade 11 physics that i designed where i investigated the shape and size of the parachute. The shape of the parachute doesn't effect how long it stays in the air much. The main thing that the shape effects is the stability and the less stable the parachute the faster the person will fall. That is why parachutes are in that banana rectangle shape so that there is more stability to glide through the air, like a bird. As the shape changes how much drag there is. Circles are pure drag and take the longest to fall. McPhysics
There have been a number of advances in parachutes in past decades. High performance canopies nowadays are of the square, ram-air design (though the actual shape of the canopy is actually rectangular).
If the hole is bigger the parachute speed will decrease
if the parachute is wider there will be more air resistance which slows things down and if there are holes the air can pass through which decreases air resistance. so the wider it is the slower it is.the lighter it is the slower it is
Bail out, and parachute down.
the human brain works best when it is used. just like a parachute.
heat makes a parachute fly because when hot air goes into a balloon shape it blows up and then lifts into the air it acts like helium o yeahhhh
The surface area, mass and the shape of the parachute affect the time of fall of the parachutes. Also the height, where the parachute have been dropped from. ( There are more factors that this).
