They usually work in operating theatres, so they wear full-length surgical gowns, sterilised white rubber boots to stop them from slipping, face-masks to cover their eyes and nose to prevent infection, and hair-caps to cover their hair for the same reason. Sometimes the gowns are tied in the middle and they have polythene aprons over them.
