What to take to a summer camp?

The first thing that comes to mind is hygeine.. you will need to bring your toothbrush of course, and well stuff like a hairbrush, maybe bring a razor and shaving cream if you'll need it, deodorant, soap, chap stick, sun screen, insect repellent, towels, clothes of course, etc.

Just think about it and I'm sure you'll think of everything ya need... just make sure to get the essentials at least!!

also remember food and drinks unless the place you are going to or who you go with provides it for you. you might want to take money for shops also change for emergency's. do not forget all the basics like your tent and sleeping bag.

Assuming that you are spending about a week at camp, here's the basics:

Sleeping bag and pillow

6-7 t-shirts

Shorts

1-2 pairs of jeans or sweatpants (maybe more, depending on the camp)

plenty of underwear and socks

Pajamas

Two pairs of tennis or gym shoes

Flip flops!!!

Swimsuit (if you're swimming alot in a lake, bring two. They start to smell.)

Jacket/hoodie

Towel and washcloth

Shampoo (doubles for body wash!)

Toothbrush and toothpaste

Other hygiene items. (Especially deodorant)

Sunscreen

Bug spray

Small backpack to carry things to/from showers

Bag for dirty laundry

Journal, pens, envelopes and stamps

Flashlight

It really depends on the camp your going to and where it's located, but FOR SURE you need sunscreen, a bathing suit, towels, shorts, tee-shirts (obviousely, for clothes, don't bring your mose designer and fancy-est ones), your toiletries, a sun hat, glasses, comfortable shoes, and maybe long pants a sweater for the cold days and nights.

After you've made a list based on what you do every day think abotu any special activities you will do at camp. For example, you will need a swimsuit if your camp has a lake. Also, keep in mind that you will need extra sunscreen and bugs spray.
