You will need to take your dog to a vet. If you can safely catch the spider (wear gloves, but in any case don't touch the spider; the gloves are an added precaution) put it in a jar and take it to the vet for positive identification.

If you are far from civilization when you catch it, then you should leave it alive, and get far away from it. If you catch it in an area with people there, then you should kill it, because they are highly dangerous and they could cost someone their life.

Well it depends on how long ago you think your dog was bitten, if it was a black widow at first you might see some swelling and redness, but a black widows poision is desighned to dissolve tissue, so later on you would see your dog in excruciating pain with a open wound. If you susspect your dog was bitten take him to a vet imediatly.
