Raw food is the best for any dog. Check out the raw food link I posted. Never feed table scraps or human food. If you are not into raw food, start with something holistic and organic if possible. Use dry food and set it out, the dachshund will eat if hungry. Do not over feed.

∙ 11y agoit depends if their weened off their mommas milk already. if they are, feed them dog food thats soft you can buy it this way or soften it with some milk or water. if their not weened go to a pet store and find a baby bottle and some puppy milk with nutrients in it.

the breed of Daschunds are very shy. they need piddle pads, a crate, a food dish, food, of course, and water. they are an energetic breed, you need to have a backyard or a wide open place to play. the dog needs to be walked once a day or twice a week. don't dress up male Daschunds, they will bite you.(personal experience)
