The union won about 219 battles out of hundreds of battles in the Civil War from 1861-1865.
The CSA won just about every battle and still lost the war. First Manassas, Second Manassas, Shiloh, and Chancellorsville were among many Confederate victories.
It was about evens. In the East, it was the Confederates that won almost every battle. The Union only won at Antietam in September, and that was through an extraordinary accident. In the West, it was the other way round. Grant was coming to the fore, and his victory at Shiloh marked the end of Confederate ascendancy in the Mississippi valley. Only Braxton Bragg's invasion of Kentucky appeared to upset the record, but he soon retreated.

I assume this is about the Civil War. Northern Historians frequently named battles after bodies of water, rivers, or streams; while Southern Historians preferred to name battles after local towns or cities. Thus, The Battle of Shiloh Creek occurred at Pittsburgh Landing. You will sometimes even see a difference of opinion as to who won a particular battle. The great Union victory of Antietam Creek was also the site of the great Confederate victory of Sharpsburg, Maryland.
