I have a 583.20 and it is a 12 ga. shotgun. So, this leads to my question, what's the difference between a 583.19 and a 583.20
It can fire .22 Long Rifle, .22 Long or .22 Short. It CANNOT fire .22 magnum.
.22
HI; THE GUN SHOULD HAVE THE SIZE OF THE AMMO THAT IT WILL SHOOT ON THE BBL. DO NOT USE LONG RIFLES UNLESS IT STATES IT AS YOU CAN CAUSE DAAGE TO IT. AND IT CAN ALSO BE DANGEROUS TO THE SHOOTER I learned to shoot with a Remington Model 12 and put thousands of rounds of .22 LR through one. I would recommend using standard (target) velocity ammo, because after years of the high-velocity .22, the old Model 12 developed a barrel bulge and had to be retired.
20 gauge #71/2 for bird/squirrel. Buckshot for self defence.
1952.16 inches
At largest, about a foot.
You have to be more specific. Looking at the "Magazine" or "clip" can give you a good idea on how much ammo a weapon can hold. Also the caliber size of the ammo is a factor to how much ammo is in a "Magazine/clip".
There is no way we can answer your question without more information. There are guns such as the Flobert actions that cannot safely fire any ammo but the .22CB cap (smaller than a short, no powder, primer only) and others that can fire .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle interchangeably. I have one .22 revolver simply marked .22 RF- it predates the .22 LR cartridge. We would urge you not to attempt to fire ANY ammunition until your handgun has been checked by a competent gunsmith to determine the correct ammo, and if it is safe to fire.
