A lot of people say Ring Ring ;)
ABBA won the 1974 Eurovision song contest for Sweden with "Waterloo". In 2005 a music industry poll named the song the best song in Eurovision's history.
A poll completed in 2005 found ABBA's 1974 winner "Waterloo" to be the most popular Eurovision Song Contest ever. However, lots of fans of the show will have their own personal favourite too!
It's pretty clear from a scan of the Eurovision winners (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Eurovision_Song_Contest_winners) that ABBA's Waterloo (the winner in 1974) is by far the most successful song to come out of the contest. It charted in the top 10 around the world (including the US and Canada) and peaked at number one in many countries including the UK and most of Europe. Interesting footnote: one exception was Belgium, where it never charted at all. (The actual battle of Waterloo in 1815 was in Belgium.)
It was an awful song by Alexander Rybak of Norway in 2009. The Fanthomas episode the Fiddler goofing on Rybak was amazingly funny so it evens things out just a "bit".
