Pharynx.
I 'unno the butts part of it
because of the same passageway of food and fluid that we take and the air that we breathe.
Yes.The pharynx ,also known as the throat is the tube at the back of the nose and mouth whjich conducts air and food into the trachea and oesophagus respectively.. Thanks... BY: @Sh0ne Siw0n
after the food has been chewed by the teeth, it simply goes down the esophagus as a passageway to the stomach. nothing special happens when its there, it just travels to the stomach.
From superior to inferior: 1. Nasopharynx- air passageway only 2. Oropharynx- swallowed food and air pass through 3. Laryngopharynx- food and air pass through
The pharynx, it serves as a passageway for both air and food.
The pharynx serves as a passageway for both food and air.
Your Pharynx
The pharynx is a muscular tube which serves as a passageway for both food and air.
The larynx is only the passageway for air, as it is covered by the epiglottis to prevent food from entering it during swallowing. The pharynx, however, serves as a passageway for both food and air.
Yes it does, and in doing so, it serves as a passageway for both food and air
Pharynx I believe
Mouth or esophagus
The esophagus is the food passageway posterior to the larynx.
The pharynx acts as a passageway for both air and food. (Plays a very key role in the digestive system)
A small leaf-like structure that closes the passageway to the larynx to prevent food from entering the larynx and trachea when you swallow. When it is open it allows for the passage of air and sound.
It has both respiratory and digestive functions, serving as a common passageway for air, food and drink. The mouth leads into the oropharynx. The mucous lining the walls of the oropharynx change slightly to adapt for handling food as well as air. It is here that the two tonsils are located. One is at the entrance from the mouth into the oropharynx, and the other is somewhat deeper.
