The cilia of the cells propels the eggs towards the ostia. by means of the beating of the cilia within the oviduct, the eggs are carried down to the ovisac where they are stored for a short time.

∙ 7y agoThe structures that carry the released eggs from the ovaries are the fallopian tubes. The fallopian tubes connect from the ovaries to the uterus, the egg floats down the fallopian tubes which is where they can meet the egg. If fertilised the egg then travels down to the uterus and a person becomes pregnant, but if not fertilised the egg is reabsorbed into the body in the fallopian tubes.
