A junction box, also known as the AV node, is how electrical impulses in the heart are relayed to the ventricles. The ventricles help make the muscle contract and then pump the blood.

The brain does not send "electrical pulses" to the heart. Electrical impulses are actually generated within the heart itself (in the SA node), which travel through several intricate pathways from the atria down to the ventricles.
Complete heart block is where the electrical impulses from the SA node of the heart cannot reach the ventricles along the normal pathway. Instead the atrial contract from the SA node singles and the ventricles contract from the ventricular cells
More cells depolarize during this QRS complex(ventricular contraction). The reason is because the muscle mass of the atria is small compared with that of the ventricles. The ventricles have a larger muscle mass. Therfore the electrical impulses within the atria are shorter and are less. The ventricles are larger so there is a larger deflection of the ECG when the ventricles are depolarised this is called the QRS complex
Electrical impulses
Electrical impulses of the brain are the nervous impulses that the nervous system uses to control body functions. These impulses may be relayed within the brain, or may be carried to the peripheral nervous system.
