Columbus only brought the necessities on his voyages. He brought along plenty of food like meat, fish and cheese, water, tools for navigation like maps, rulers and compasses, and items used for trade like jewelry and spices.
It is necessary to pack many supplies. Some food and drinks we are taking would be water, wine, olive oil, rice, matchlocks cheese, honey, and sea biscuits. The weapons we are bringing involve Swords, pikes, and matchlocks.
Columbus DID NOT COME TO AMERICA OR FIND IT. His journal states that he had dried beef, dried peas, and water on ship for supplies. Not to mention 25 cats to eat the rats.

Isabella, the Queen of Spain who pawned her crown jewels to pay for the voyage. She convinced her husband, King Ferdinand, to take the chance on Columbus.
The first voyage of Columbus left Spain on August 1, but was delayed for repairs on the Canary Islands until August 9. They finally arrived on an island in the Bahamas on October 12. There is no clear evidence which island it was. So that would be approximately two months and three days, or 62-63 days. There were four voyages all together, and Columbus did not find the mainland until the third voyage.
Columbus never made land in North America, so he didn't take any ships to " New York". NY also did not exist in the 1400's. Nothing was there until the Dutch founded a colony 200 years later. So, he,took ZERO ships to NY.
